What numbers should I enter?

Enter the total number of questions in one practice set, how many you answered correctly, and the accuracy percentage you want to reach on a comparable set. Keep all three values tied to one clearly defined drill, module, section, or test.

How is the required correct-answer count calculated?

The calculator multiplies total questions by the target percentage and rounds up to the next whole question. Rounding up matters because a fraction of a correct answer is impossible and rounding down could leave you below the selected target.

Why can the achievable target be slightly higher than the percentage I entered?

Practice accuracy moves in whole-question steps. For example, 80% of 23 questions is 18.4 questions, so reaching at least 80% requires 19 correct, which is about 82.6%. The result shows this effective threshold instead of hiding the rounding.

What does ‘not correct’ mean here?

It is total questions minus correct answers. Because the form does not separately ask for incorrect and unanswered counts, the remainder may include either. Use the Question Accuracy Calculator when you need those categories separated.

What is a good target accuracy for SAT practice?

There is no universal percentage that predicts one SAT score. Choose a target that is challenging but realistic for a specific skill and set difficulty, then raise it after repeated comparable results. A target is most useful when it guides review rather than acting as an unofficial score conversion.

Can I use this for a full-length digital SAT practice test?

You can use any reliable total and correct count, but separate Reading & Writing and Math—or even individual domains—when you want a more useful study signal. For an official scaled practice score, use the score reported by Bluebook or the scoring guide for that test.

Does reaching my target accuracy guarantee a particular SAT score?

No. College Board explains that digital SAT scoring considers factors beyond a simple percentage correct, including question characteristics and response patterns. This calculator creates a practice question-count goal only; it does not predict a 400–1600 score.

What should I do after I calculate the gap?

Review the questions that were not correct, classify the cause of each miss, retry them without the solution, and then use a comparable fresh set. Track whether the target is reached consistently rather than reacting to one unusually easy or difficult set.
