How do I calculate my total SAT score?
Add the Reading & Writing section score and Math section score from the same test date. For example, 680 plus 750 gives a total score of 1430.
What is the SAT total score range?
The SAT total score ranges from 400 to 1600. It is the sum of the two 200–800 section scores.
Should both section scores come from the same test date?
Yes for a single-test total. If your highest section scores come from different test dates, use the SAT Superscore Calculator instead.
Why does the calculator accept only 10-point increments?
Official SAT total and section scores are reported in 10-point intervals. Enter the scaled score exactly as it appears on your score report.
Can I enter PSAT scores?
No. PSAT assessments use different score ranges. This page is specifically for SAT section scores from 200 to 800.
Can this convert correct-answer counts into an SAT score?
No. The calculator requires already-scaled section scores. Digital SAT scoring does not use one universal conversion from correct-answer counts to section scores.
Does this result tell me whether a score is good for a college?
