Workload and weakness can point in different directions
A student records Solving Systems of Linear Equations with 6 errors in 20 attempts, What Makes an Inference Valid? with 4 in 10, and Choosing Transitions from Logic, Not Memorization with 2 in 8. Solving Systems of Linear Equations ranks first because it contains half of the 12 observed errors. Inferences has the highest error rate at 40%, so it remains an important second signal to verify.

What results should I enter?
Use attempted and incorrect counts for exact topics from the same practice source or from intentionally combined comparable sets. Keep timing, difficulty, scoring, and outside-help conditions as similar as practical.
How is the priority order calculated?
Topics are sorted by the number of observed incorrect answers from highest to lowest. A tie is broken by higher error rate, then by larger attempted sample, then alphabetically. There is no hidden weight or AI score.
Why rank error count before error rate?
Error count represents the visible review workload in the evidence you entered. Error rate measures relative weakness. The tool shows both because a small high-error-rate sample and a larger error-heavy sample can suggest different next actions.
Does error share predict SAT score improvement?
No. Error share is simply one topic’s incorrect answers divided by all incorrect answers entered. It does not account for adaptive scoring, question difficulty, domain weighting, or future performance and cannot be converted into SAT points.
What if every entered answer was correct?
The calculator reports that no error-based priority is available. Try a fresh mixed set, include harder questions, or use official domain performance to choose a new area without inventing a weakness from perfect results.
What do the evidence labels mean?
They are tool-only context labels: fewer than 5 attempts is limited, 5–9 is developing, and 10 or more is broader. They are not College Board proficiency bands or statistical confidence intervals.
Can I compare Math and Reading & Writing topics?
Yes, if the practice evidence is reasonably comparable. The result ranks observed errors rather than claiming the topics carry equal scaled-score value. Always inspect the original questions before choosing a long-term study plan.
What should I do after finding a priority?
Classify the mistakes, review the matching Notes, retry without looking at the explanation, and complete a fresh Practice set. Recalculate with the new set instead of repeatedly relying on old errors.
